I still think Stevie will take on a bad contract this season for a price. I would hope that the sweetener be a almost NHL ready prospect than a pick.

Eichel is playing like garbage on a bad buff team. What makes you think he will put forth a better effort on an even worse det team. We don't need his pee poor attitude in our dressing room.

I don't recall that attitude being displayed til this year......Even Ryan O'Rielly had a bad attitude his last season with Buffalo. And Buffalo is in an even deeper hole than Detroit is right now. Their trajectory is down whereas Detroit's is going up.

Eichel is a true 1C wheras Larkin is a de facto 1C Larkin needs less responsibility right now, he is taking on too much.

Detroit is not a directionless dumpster fire like Buffalo. Detroit is a dumpster fire but there’s a plan to acquire the fire extinguisher to change that.

If Stevie took on Skinner and Okposo to lessen the return on Eichel, what would the trade look like? Okposo only has 2 more years left so that's not a big deal. But the Skinner contract scares me. But you're getting Jack (frank)ing Eichel. That's how you properly speed up a rebuild. We'd have to hope Skinner returns to being a 30-40 goal scorer.

Maybe just taking on Skinner would be workable if Buffalo retains at least $2M. He would be 34 or 35 at the end of that contract.

Actually taking on KO would be better because one would buy out his final year, so you only have to tolerate his play for 1 yr.
